Matt Rice is the Director of Financial Planning at IMA Private Wealth, where he leads efforts to enhance the firm’s financial planning culture and infrastructure.

Before joining IMA in 2024, Matt spent nine years at TIAA in various roles, including as a financial advisor and planner. His recent work has focused on supporting advisors in crafting comprehensive financial plans that address key areas such as asset management, tax-efficient income strategies, incapacity planning, and estate planning.

Matt holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Accounting from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University. In 2020, he earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification. In 2025, he earned his Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) designation. Additionally, Matt holds the FINRA Series 65 license, as well as Colorado state licenses in Health, Life, and Variable Contracts. 

Investments & Wealth Institute® (the Institute) is the owner of the certification marks “CPWA,” and “Certified Private Wealth Advisor.” Use of CPWA, and/or Certified Private Wealth Advisor signifies that the user has successfully completed the Institute’s initial and ongoing credentialing requirements for wealth advisors.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
